Adopt-A-Book Challenge: Add a Voice, Make a Difference

Every book tells a story, and every story has the power to inspire, educate, and transform. This Giving Season, we invite you to join our Adopt-A-Book Challenge and make a tangible difference in our communities by amplifying diverse voices through our Little Free Antiracist Libraries.

What Is the Adopt-A-Book Challenge?

The Adopt-A-Book Challenge is a simple yet impactful way to help expand access to diverse and inclusive books. For just $25, you can adopt a book that will be added to one of our libraries. These books are carefully selected to feature stories and voices from underrepresented communities, celebrating the resilience, history, and cultures that shape our shared human experience.

With your support, we aim to fill our libraries with titles that inspire young minds, spark important conversations, and create a more equitable future.

Why Adopt a Book?

Representation matters. Stories have the power to shape our understanding of the world and each other. Unfortunately, many communities lack access to books that reflect diverse experiences and voices. By adopting a book, you’re not only enriching our libraries but also creating opportunities for readers of all ages to see themselves in the pages and learn about perspectives they may never have encountered.

Each book you help add to our libraries becomes a part of a much larger mission – one that fosters inclusion, understanding, and change.

How It Works

  1. Donate $25 at ruar.org/donate: Your donation covers the cost of a book selected to enrich our Little Free Antiracist Libraries.

  2. Watch the Impact Grow: With every book added, our libraries become more vibrant and impactful, sparking conversations and connections in the communities they serve.

  3. Spread the Word: Share your participation in the Adopt-A-Book Challenge with friends, family, and social networks. Use the hashtag #AdoptABookChallenge to amplify the mission!

What’s in Our Libraries?

Our collections include books that:

  • Highlight the stories of Indigenous peoples, people of color, and other historically marginalized groups.

  • Inspire young readers with stories of courage, resilience, and empowerment.

  • Challenge stereotypes and encourage critical thinking about history and society.

These aren’t just books – they’re tools for education, empathy, and action.

How You Can Get Involved

  1. Adopt a Book: Visit ruar.org/donate and donate to the challenge. Each $25 donation adds a book to one of our libraries.

  2. Shop Our Merch: Support the cause with style! Every purchase from www.bonfire.com/store/rise-up-against-racism/ helps fund the challenge.

  3. Share the Challenge: Post about the Adopt-A-Book Challenge on your social media channels to encourage others to join.

Together, We Can Make a Difference

Every book adopted through the challenge is a step toward a world where all voices are heard and valued. By joining the Adopt-A-Book Challenge, you’re not just donating – you’re creating a legacy of inclusion, equity, and understanding for generations to come.

Let’s make this Giving Season one to remember. Adopt a book today and help us add another voice to the conversation.
